About
Geelong and surrounds boast a range of interesting grasslands, from the roadsides of Old Melbourne Road and Peak School Road, to the rail corridor, to that large paddock you see on your left as you come into town from the east, which is Corio Grassland.
Depending on time and endurance, we might finish at a patch of coastal grassland at nearby Limeburners Lagoon.
The Peak School Road grassland is currently under threat from a gas pipeline development proposal.
We’ll meet at the carpark of Serendip Sanctuary and go as a group from there.
Remember to wear closed shoes, dress sensibly for the weather and bring sunscreen and water!

This tour is part of Geelong Nature Week and is held in conjunction with the City of Greater Geelong.
