Grassy Tour - Gilbertsons Grassland NCR and Willian Angliss NCR

Deep in Melbourne’s industrial west, these two Nature Conservation Reserves on the poorly named but very grasslandy Kayes Drain were the best bits of a square mile of grassland before residential and industrial growth arrived at the turn of the century.
Expect good swards of Kangaroo Grass and a good range of forbs, but we’ll be interested to see how they are faring. Gilbertsns Grassland NCR has been subject to recent chemical spills.
This Grassy Tourour runs for 2 hours.

Remember to wear closed shoes, dress sensibly for the weather and bring sunscreen and water!
