Grassy Tour - Cressy Flora Reserve + Lincoln Kern’s offset site
About
Horse racing tracks can be a grassland thing, like old cemeteries. Last year we visited the fabulous remnant at Woodend Racecourse, now it’s Cressy Trotting Track time! Afterwards we’ll visit the nearby offset site that Lincoln Kern used as a management example in his talk at our Grasslands Forum earlier this year.
We’ll meet at Cressy Trotting Track at 10:00am then drive 5 minutes to Lincoln’s about 11:30.
This Grassy Tourour runs for 4 hours, until 2:00p.
BYO lunch and snacks. Remember to wear closed shoes, dress sensibly for the weather and bring sunscreen and water! There are toilet facilities in Cressy.
We may be able to organise some carpooling from Melbourne. Tick the box on the registration form if that’s something you’d be interested in, as a driver or passenger.
